November’s lineup is confirmed, but has not started yet

Sony announced its November PlayStation Plus Monthly Games on October 28: Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2. The announced window runs from Tuesday, November 3, through Monday, November 30. As of this article’s October 30 publication, that window is still ahead. An announcement appearing online is not the same as the games already being available through the monthly selection.

Which games work on PS4 and PS5?

Dead Island 2 and Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered are listed for PS4 and PS5; Monster Train 2 is PS5 only. PS4 owners therefore have two compatible options in this announcement, not three. Start with compatibility before deciding which title to download. This article is a release guide, not a review based on our own playtesting.

The deadline that arrives before November’s games

October’s selection has a November 2 library-add deadline: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Keep the two deadlines separate. A reminder for the outgoing selection serves a different purpose from a reminder to check the incoming games.

Monthly Games are a membership benefit

PlayStation’s support guide describes Monthly Games as playable at no extra cost during a PlayStation Plus membership. That does not describe an unconditional free purchase. The same guide treats the Extra game catalog and Premium classics catalog as separate benefits. When checking an offer, start from the Monthly Games area rather than assuming a similarly named catalog entry has identical terms. On PS5, Sony directs players to PlayStation Plus, Benefits, then Monthly Games; on PS4, it lists PlayStation Plus, Monthly Games, then Add to Library and Download.

What to check on your own console

During the announced window, check the exact title and console version in your signed-in store before confirming a transaction. A PS5 listing does not establish PS4 compatibility, and a release announcement does not tell you how much storage remains on your console. This article does not supply an unverified download size, regional price or precise worldwide store-refresh hour. Use the linked Sony announcement for lineup changes and the support guide for download steps. The photograph is a contextual PS5 hardware file image, not artwork from the three games.
