London and New York daylight-saving changes follow your browser’s time-zone data. Dates are shown because a conversion can cross midnight. This is a planning tool, not a live clock. Your selected time stays in your browser and is not submitted to our server.

Use the date, not last week’s time difference

Planning a call from Pakistan? Use the converter on this page to see one selected Pakistan time in London, New York, New Delhi and Dubai. It accepts dates from 2026 to 2029 and shows the destination date as well as the time, so a previous-day conversion is visible. Pakistan is UTC+5 throughout this supported range; London and New York follow their own daylight-saving calendars. The calculator uses your browser’s time-zone rules and keeps the entered time on your device. Updated October 27, 2026 to add this planning tool; the clock-change reporting below retains its original dates.

Yes, the UK clocks went back on October 25

At 2 am British Summer Time on Sunday, October 25, 2026, UK clocks returned to 1 am Greenwich Mean Time. The UK is now on GMT. GOV.UK confirms the date and the next move forward on March 28, 2027. The practical consequence for international calls is easy to miss: a meeting that stays at the same London clock time can move by an hour on someone else’s clock. Start with the date and both cities, rather than reusing last week’s difference.

A 9 am London call is now 2 pm in Pakistan

Pakistan uses UTC+5 and has no daylight-saving change in 2026. With London now on GMT, Pakistan is five hours ahead. A call set for 9 am London on October 26 is therefore at 2 pm Pakistan time. Before the UK change, 9 am London corresponded to 1 pm in Pakistan. The Pakistani clock did not move; the relationship between the two clocks changed. For a recurring appointment, check which city’s local time the organizer intends to keep fixed. Keeping 9 am London and keeping 1 pm Pakistan are now different choices.

For India, the same call becomes 2:30 pm

India uses UTC+5:30 throughout the year. After the UK change, a 9 am London appointment is at 2:30 pm in India, compared with 1:30 pm before the change. These examples are calculated from the published offsets and checked using named city time zones. For an invitation, write the full date alongside both local times. That small addition helps distinguish an appointment next week from one copied from a summer schedule. A half-hour offset also matters: rounding India’s difference to five or six hours produces a wrong meeting time.

New York changes later, creating a one-week mismatch

NIST lists the US daylight-saving end for November 1, 2026, at 2 am local time in places that observe it. New York is therefore four hours behind London during the interval after the UK change and before New York’s change. A 9 am London call on October 26 is at 5 am in New York; on November 2 it is at 4 am. Do not apply this example to every US location: Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe daylight saving. Use a city-specific conversion for the actual appointment date.

Why “1:30 am” was not a unique appointment time

During the UK transition, the hour beginning at 1 am occurred twice: once in BST and again in GMT. For October 25, 1:30 am BST corresponds to 00:30 UTC, while 1:30 am GMT corresponds to 01:30 UTC. Those are separate instants an hour apart. If an overnight booking or record matters, include the offset or UTC time instead of writing only “1:30.” For ordinary upcoming calls, share the calendar invitation, confirm its date and city, and compare the displayed local time with your counterpart. Our article library also includes a dated Hunter’s Moon guide: astronomical event times need the same care when converting from UTC.
